Dallas at Twenty-nine Weeks

Monday and Tuesday we helped Dallas' Uncle Will move into his new apartment. Dallas did so good just playing with his toys while we all worked. He hardly seemed bothered by the lack of attention!

Dallas has been mimicking EVERYTHING this week! If you stick out your tongue, he sticks out his; if you wave at him, he waves at you; if you give him a raspberry, he'll give you a raspberry! I love watching him realize that he can do all of these things!

On Thursday, Dallas went to his first movie! We went to "Now You See Me" and it was a crybaby matinee. They had a changing table in the theatre, the lights were on so you could see what you were doing, and I'm pretty sure the volume was turned down. I felt comfortable taking up three seats, nursing, and I didn't have to worry about Dallas making noise because everyone in the theatre had a child under 5. I strongly recommend checking out your local theatre to see if they have a crybaby matinee. It is a nice treat for baby and mommy/daddy!

Today we are having about 30 people over for a BBQ and Dallas is looking forward to playing with all of his lil buddies! We wanted to have a big gathering before we leave for our vacation (Tuesday) since we are going to be gone for a whole month! We are so excited to go home, but will miss our friends in Hawaii!

Dallas at Twenty-eight Weeks

I'm going to do a short post this week because I am typing this on Father's Day (a day late)! We had a good week filled with days at the beach and picnics in the park. Dallas was a wee bit cranky Mon-Thur because his first two teeth finally came out! My husband and I both have teeth marks on our fingers from him gnawing on us lol We keep forgetting that it's not just slobbery gums anymore! He's bit me a few times while nursing,  but luckily it hasn't been too bad so far (keep your fingers crossed for me)!

Today we are having breakfast in Kailua at a cute little place called Cinnamon's and then we are going to spend the rest of the day at the beach! Happy Father's Day to all of you Daddy's out there!!

Sorry I meant to get this posted yesterday, but ended up having a rather busy day!

Dallas at Twenty-seven Weeks

This week Dallas got to go back to the fair to ride the Ferris Wheel and Carousel. He had a blast and loved looking at all of the lights! He also spent time at the beach, the park, and in his blow up pool at home. He ate lots of new foods this week including eggs, pasta, and turkey bacon. He, of course, loved them all!

Dallas has always been a momma's boy, but this week it has been REALLY bad. He cries whenever I leave the room, even if Ben is holding him. Sometimes he won't even go to Ben, he'll just cry until I take him back. I don't mind it too much because I love being with him, but I feel bad for Ben because Dallas cries whenever he is holding him! Poor daddy :(

Dallas had his 6 month check-up on Tuesday and he weighs 15.2 lbs and is 27 in long. The doctor is a little bit concerned about his weight again, but said that since he is so long that it isn't too big of an issue. Dallas eats ALL the time so I don't know how he manages to stay so small! He's got a big Buddha belly, but his little arms and legs are just so skinny like his daddy's. I like to call him my "Buddah Baby!"
